Immediately
before going on stage at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival,
May 2004, the band learns that friend and jazz fest perennial Daniel
Breaux (fabulous artist and carpenter, beautiful dancer) had been
murdered the night before. The only thing to do then is to play "Amazing
Grace" to begin the set. As banjoman Patrick Mackey sings, Ben and
Genevieve grieve. |
